FOUNDATION GROUPS

FOUNDATIONS

If you are new to OFCN or just beginning your personal journey of discipleship, one of our foundations groups may be a good beginning point for you.

 

Each group is offered two or three times a year and is designed to help a new Christian or new attendee connect better with Christ and OFCN. In these groups, people will discover what the Church of the Nazarene is, what prayer is and the power it has, how to read and understand scripture, and how God has created them and the purpose He has for their lives.

FOUNDATION COURSES:

FAITH STARTING POINT

An eight week small group to discuss the core beliefs of the Christian Faith. 

WHAT THE CHURCH BELIEVES

A four week small group that learns the history of the church of the Nazarene and what we believe. At the conclusion of the group time individuals will have the opportunity to join OFCN if they desire to.

UNDERSTANDING SCRIPTURE

A twelve week small group that looks at the Bible from 30,000 feet to grasp it's structure and over-arching message.

PRAYER

A six week small group that meets to explore the power and implementation of personal and corporate prayer.

DISCOVERY

An eight week small group that explores how God created us and the purpose He has for our lives.

READING THE BIBLE FOR LIFE CHANGE

An eight-week small group that teaches how to read God's Word for understanding and application

WELCOME PARTY

A fun event that happens quarterly to introduce our guests to the history and ministries of our church and to discover ways to connect with the OFCN church family.

SHARING YOUR STORY

A four-week small group that will help you write your faith story and give you the confidence to share it with others.
