Expedition Student Ministries has much to offer teenagers and their families. There is always something happening -- worship, Bible time, service projects, and plenty of fun! It is our desire that all students will feel welcome, no matter what their backgrounds hold. If you're a teenager looking for a place to belong, then Expedition Student Ministries is for you!

Expedition Student Ministries exists to Expose all students to God's love, Engaging them in meaningful relationships with other Christians and helping to Equip them to discover and use their gifts and Exalt God with their lives! In all of these things, our unifying desire is to follow Jesus together.

During the school year, every Sunday morning at 9:30am, students in grades 7 and 8 meet together in Room 120 for the Jr High Life Group. The High School Life Group meets at 6:00pm at Pastor Kim's house on Sunday nights during the school year.

On Wednesday nights during the school year, youth meet in the gym at 6:45pm for "The Edge!" The Edge is a high-energy, exciting and fun night with their friends. Students hang out, have a Coke, hear a relevant message, and participate in small-group discussions with other students their age. We invite parents to join us every other month for "Parent's Night" and see what goes on during The Edge on Wednesday nights.

For those teens who want to learn even more about how Jesus is leading them, "Beyond the Edge" meets 6:33am Tuesday mornings at Jolts and Juice's Upper Room for a time of study and discussion.

Teen quizzers dive into God's word, studying a selected book of the New Testament for an entire year and competing in monthly quiz competitions. This is an excellent way to learn scripture, develop friendships with others in the youth group, and even get to know students from other churches.

Worship is recognizing and responding to God. Youth are an important part of our congregation, and we love worshiping together. The teens often sit together, singing, learning and responding as a group. Our teens also have the opportunity to participate in a Youth Worship Band that plays on Wednesday nights at The EDGE! This team practices each week following The EDGE.

Teen Mission Trips are planned each summer. The Jr. High Summer mission is to a local community while the High School students will travel out of state to serve missionally each summer.

Special events are scheduled at various times throughout the year. At least once each month there is a fun activity -- Fifth Quarter, bowling, etc. -- particularly for students to bring friends. Our teens also enjoy events with youth from other churches in our District (eastern Oregon, southern Idaho, Nevada and Utah), including 24 (a district talent and sports competition at Northwest Nazarene University) and summer camps for middle school and high school students.
