Tim Brewer - Lead Pastor
Tim Brewer is first of all a husband and a father. He and his 'righteous babe' Nancy have been married for twenty-eight years and have two wonderful kids, Rachel and Brad. Tim loves the outdoors, camping, hiking, and especially Disneyland where he has been identified as "most like Goofy." His most recent accomplishment is qualifying for the 2013 Boston Marathon.
Tim came to know Christ as a 16-year-old. The death of a childhood friend helped him discover the love and hope of Christ. Each day following Jesus is still fresh and new.
He attended Northwest Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary. He spent ten years in youth ministry and served as lead pastor in Salt Lake City (11 years) and is now shepherding the wonderful people of Ontario.
The weirdest thing Tim has ever eaten is snail.
Connie Wheeler - Children's Pastor
Connie grew up moving all over the States. Seeing the sites and experiencing the cultures across our country helped develop a love for traveling. Connie spent middle and high school living the Northwest. It was during those years that God began to develop a call in her life to minister to children and their families.
She attended Point Loma Nazarene University were she received a degree in Child Development. She earned her Master’s in Pastoral Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University in 2008 while serving as a children's pastor in Vancouver, WA. She joined the OFCN staff in 2010 and loves being part of the team.
If she is not at the office, out with elementary kids, or watching Upward basketball, she fills her time with exercising, coffee shops, movies, and game nights. Top favorite movies: The Princes Bride, Joyeaux Noel, Despicable Me. Top favorite music: Derek Webb, David Crowder Band, Josh Garrels, Rend Collective Experiment.
The weirdest food Connie has ever had is lap-lap. If you want to know what it is, feel free to look it up.
Eddie Wheeler - Worship Pastor
Edwin grew up in a musical family. His father was a music pastor and his mother a piano teacher, so from an early age he learned to serve God through music. In junior high and high school, Edwin was taught that every Christian is called to be a disciple and to make disciples of Jesus. Although playing music is a passion for him, he says, "What really excites me is seeing people grow in their walk with Jesus."
The weirdest food he has ever eaten is freshly cut raw salmon while in Korea.
Sue Hodgson - Office Manager
Sue has had the privilege of working in the church office for the past 13 years...and it all started by being a volunteer! After 15 years of being a full-time child care provider in her home, she was ready to work in the world of adults. The Lord orchestrated the opportunity for her to be part of a wonderful office staff when it was most needed.
She was blessed to grow up in a pastor’s home and asked Jesus into her life at an early age. She lived in Washington, Indiana and California, met her husband at Azusa Pacific College (University), then moved to his home state of Montana and on to Wisconsin, North Dakota, Nevada and finally Idaho. Sue's grandfather was one of the first homesteaders to Deer Flat (near Caldwell) in 1905, so this area is rich in heritage for her. She and her husband have three grown children and are enjoying the time they spend with the cutest grandson ever!
Working full-time has definitely cut into the time Sue has to sew, quilt and scrapbook, her three most favorite things after being with her family. God has been so good and she is very thankful for His faithfulness.
Sue says lion is easily the weirdest food she has ever eaten.
Sharon Cox - Office Assistant
Sharon was born in Dallas, OR, and grew up in Eureka, CA; Portland, OR, and Lincoln City, OR. She and her husband, Steve, have been married 44 years, have two daughters and sons-in-law, and four beautiful grandchildren, two boys and two girls, ranging in age from six to fifteen.
Sharon and Steve moved to Ontario in 1971, joined the church, and quickly became involved in OFCN in the choir, the church board, and the Caravan and youth programs. She worked full-time in the church office for 14 years, and currently works one day a week.
Through the influence of her maternal grandparents, Sharon came to know Jesus during early childhood. He has been an anchor in her life through good times and bad. She attended Pasadena College, which is now Point Loma Nazarene University. She enjoys reading, spending time with family, and outdoor activities. The weirdest food she has ever tried is tripe.
Loretta Saunders - Office Assistant
Loretta grew up in Nampa and attended North Nampa Church of the Nazarene all of her childhood. She moved to Boise and worked in the corporate sector for many years. She has two wonderful children and two fabulous incredibly awesome beautiful granddaughters. She met her husband Larry in 2006 and they were married in 2007. She loves to oil paint and travel in their motor home along with their two child dogs Maggie and Ziggy. She loves to serve the Lord and feels very blessed to be a part of the OFCN family. The weirdest thing she has ever eaten is something that she ate while touring China, not sure what it was but it was not chicken or beef.
Jeannine Wyborney - Bookkeeping
Jeannine was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. She attended Northwest Nazarene University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Since moving to Ontario in 1995, she and her husband, Steve, have attended OFCN. When they walked in on their first Sunday, they recognized a few familiar faces from college and immediately felt at home. Balancing her desire to stay at home with her kids while still getting out where other adults roam, God opened door after door which led to her having the part-time job as bookkeeper for the church. She says her work is sometimes like solving a jigsaw puzzle, something she enjoys doing on cold winter days. You may catch her on a nice spring afternoon watching, and, according to anonymous sources, possibly imitating the monkeys at the zoo.
The weirdest thing Jeannine has ever eaten is squid, or perhaps cereal with iced tea once when she was out of milk.
